I've had a lifelong interest in the creative process in both art and science. My artistic skills are a gift that has been honed over many years and are still evolving. I had been working with metal, wire, and gemstones for several years when I discovered the magical world of fused glass. I made one small test piece, and I was hooked! I take my inspiration from the Art Noveau period when functional items were re-imagined and created with style and beauty.

The inspirations for my designs for jewelry and art glass may come from a single source or may be the chaotic crossroad of several sources that converge and then emerge as one vision. I am especially fascinated with mixing shapes and textures, and the elements--glass, wire, gemstones, metal--that I like to work with, allow me the freedom to push the envelope in those areas. My love of color and my sense of humor also influence many designs.
I earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in entomology and worked in global marketing and product development for a multinational company where I was known for developing creative solutions for technical and marketing challenges. Somehow, some of the insects I studied found their way into my art.

I have created custom jewelry for private and corporate clients and provided pieces for the Morris Museum Gift Shop in Morristown, NJ. I am a juried member of the Jewelers Studio Guild and a member of the Glass Art Society; I have exhibited at arts festivals including the Peters Valley Craft Fair (NJ) and the Berkshires Arts Festival (MA).
